MAZE #26 A PLAY ON WORDS
Entering room 26 shows, indeed, is the bell that was heard in the previous room. Hooray!
In this room, I realize I should be making a list of my journey as if I was literally walking through it and not rely on the contrivance of turning back the pages later, leaving a paper trail. So now I am looking for the number of the next maze, which seems very simple.
1. ten plus ten plus ten equals 30.
2. 1 is said to be a false clue. (I can't forget that I just came from there.)
I also realize that before leaving each room, I must assemble some clues. The letter "A" perhaps spelling part of umbrella? The round planet S-A-turn = Saturn. I don't know what to make that they put their hands over their ears? Maybe I am suppose to turn around? Turn Around! Are the choices literally three trap doors?
I hope I'm not lost already. Maybe something will turn up in the next room to see if I am still on track.
This will require some deep study.

MAZE #1
I have ten reasons for picking my first door on Maze #1.
1. The word 'cup' in the text matches the picture of a cup on the door.
2. The capital letters of the text include P, U, and C.
3. Cerberus is from mythology, which is a fable.
4. The words 'story', 'tale', and 'yarn' are on the second page of text.
5. The 'center' made me think if 'Centaur', specifically as the guardian Chiron, and Chiron is an asteroid/comet also known as 2060. (A very vague 26, but that's how my mind thinks, very obscurely.)
6. Yarn, Tale, and Fable contain the letter A (like the doorway's shadow), except Story (X this door)
7 Drum, Cup, and Bottle can all be empty, except Apple (X this door)
8. 20, 21, and 26 are close, except 41 (X this door)
9. FABLE = 26 when encoded numerically.
But, I did think of Robert E. Howard. He is the inventor of swords and sorcery tales, such as The Bloody Crown of Conan. Quote:
"Gleaming shell of an outward lie; fable of right divine-,
You gained your crowns by heritage, but blood was the price of mine.
The throne that I won by blood and sweat, I will not sell,
For promise of valleys filled with gold, or threats of the halls of hell!"

10. Fable sounds like Fay Bell.

The Last Page
This was the start of my blog. As such, I am told I was the first person to solve the text code as well as a second hidden text code. It was ingenious, but like most codes, solvable. Thanks for the challenge. Sorry to burst a thirty year old bubble. It was bound to happen. The challenge was irresistible.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My first thoughts on Maze: I found out about the book MAZE by Christopher Manson on June 10, 2014. It was published in 1985 and nobody has completely solved the entire thing. Someone claims to have solved 44 out of 45 levels, but won't say which one remains unsolved. ( I'll try to be more upfront. He later said it was 22, which was one of the first ones I got.)
I am deliberately avoiding reading any spoilers, so I have no idea whatsoever of what I am to come up against. A little bit about myself? Sure. I love any kind of code and will take on any challenge put out there. November 15 1985 was the release.
I have been looking at a picture and the text for MAZE 1 online while I wait for my book to arrive in the mail. I still have no idea what this is about. The clues are seemingly very elusive. In examining MAZE 1, I have found 10 reasons to select a certain door, out of four possible choices. I will list them later, or earlier as the blog goes. I don't know how to post this spoiler free, so if I'm right, then spoiler alert. If not, ride with me into frustration. Leave your umbrella outside.
